Introducing: Sarina Bolden

We are excited to announce that we have signed Philippine World Cup star Sarina Bolden (@sarina_bolden) the FilAmSports team.
A Milpitas resident, Sarina was born in Santa Clara, California and attended Milpitas High School. After graduation, Bolden continued her athletic and academic career at Loyola Marymount University where she was named All-West Coast Conference and NSCAA All-West Region in 2016.

To have had the opportunity to witness her goal against New Zealand is a moment that will be forever etched in the minds of every Filipino.”
Known for her clutch play, Bolden made her first mark in international play during the quarterfinal match against Chinese Taipei in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup. The game came down to a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw, Bolden scored the winning penalty which resulted in the Philippine Women’s Soccer team qualifying for their first ever FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023.
On July 25, 2023, Bolden, in front of a capacity crowd at Wellington Regional Stadium, converted on a header from a Sara Eggesvik cross, giving the Philippines a 1-0 lead and eventual win over co-host New Zealand. The play by Bolden is arguably the most important, if not biggest play in the history of Philippine sports.
