We are delighted to announce the addition of Nolan Crespo to the FilAmSports family.
ABOUT NOLAN CRESPO
While at UC San Diego, Crespo set a new school record in the 100m with a time of 10.36 in 2022, and secured the #3 all-time standing in the 200m with a time of 21.41 in the same year. His educational journey includes attending Ontario Christian High School in Ontario, California, and growing up in Eastvale, California. His parents hail from the Philippines, his father from Quezon City, and his mother from Manila.
Crespo captured the 100 meter title in the 2023 Philippine National Championships in Ilagan.
“I am thankful for the blessings, opportunities, and support I have received throughout my life, especially from my family. To me, sprinting encompasses more than just the acquisition of medals or success; its about honoring God, my family, and those who have been around since day one.”
Crespo is excited for the opportunity to compete at the highest level possible, representing the Philippines and making not just his own family, but the whole nation, proud. “Growing up, every holiday and family gathering was sure to be a fun one, with good food, good laughs, lots of love, and a whole lot of joy. That to me is what I think of when I think of what it means to be Pinoy, and I am excited for the opportunity to show the whole world that.”
“I’ve learned a lot of lessons through not only my family, friends, and mentors, but also through the sport of track and field. These lessons are things that I hold close, and I believe they are what have made me the man I am today.”
“The opportunity to be a role model, and pass those lessons onto others, is an opportunity that I do not take lightly, but am excited for. I believe that taking every opportunity as they come and making the absolute most of them, applying yourself and giving your best in every moment, is the biggest takeaway from track and field, from sports in general even, and is a lesson I want to pass on to others.”
